This is late, yet again. I have an issue. Also, I don't know if anyone noticed that I haven't been blogging as much as I usually do, and it's also been a really long time since I've done a writing post and that's because I unfortunately have not... been writing.

Okay, to give myself credit. I am writing. Just not what I'm supposed to be writing. But that's a topic for a writing update which I'm hopefully post soon.

Anyway, onto this month's music wrap up. I have 12 songs, which is less than normal but this month I've mostly been listening to songs I've already been listening to for ages.

So here we go:

1) Nice to Meet Ya by Niall Horan

Niall Horan is back for round 2! I cannot wait for his second album especially when I heard this song which gives me major Arctic Monkeys vibes. Not to mention hearing Niall Horan speak is French is always a blessing.

2) Will We Talk?

I have to give me credit to Mr. Louis Tomlinson for introducing me to Sam Fender. His album, Hypersonic Missiles, is amazing and this song is one of my absolute favorites. I love Sam's voice and his lyrics are also just so good.

3) Lights Up by Harry Styles

HE'S BACK BABY! I spent the afternoon of Friday the 11th anticipating and waiting for this single to drop after all the crazy last minute promo dropped and no one knew what was going on but we were all staying up till midnight anyway just in case and FOR ONCE IT ACTUALLY PAID OFF. After HS1, I did not expect him to go alternative but I love it anyway. The chorus of this song is also so beautiful- it gives me goosebumps.

4) Adore You by Maisie Peters

I highly recommend checking out Maisie Peters, a british pop star who is very underrated but her songs are wonderful and deserve all the attention. This song is very catchy and the lyrics are A+ too.

5) Frail State of Mind by the 1975

A new song. Same level of quality and amazingness. I love the 1975 so much and I may or may not be able to see them this December (I'll cry if I don't) which is going to be the subject of my focus for the next month.

6) at least i look cool by Sasha Sloan

Shoutout to my sister for humming and singing this song for a week straight until I finally listened to the song and then played it in repeat while I was in the shower. Love you.

7) We Made It by Louis Tomlinson

Is it a music wrap up without me talking about my love for Louis, no it is not, so: I love Louis. This song is FANTASTIC. I'm so proud of him. The lyrics: amazing. The music: amazing. I think this is currently my favorite song by him (at least until Don't Let It Break Your Heart comes out this month on the 22nd!), sorry Miss You. ALSO I'M SEEING HIM ON TOUR NEXT JULY IN LA AND I CANNOT BELIEVE IT.

8) It's Not Living (If It's Not With You) by the 1975

This is perhaps my favorite song by them. It ignites this level of nostalgia that I cannot explain. The first time I heard this I could have sweared I'd known this song my whole life. When I get that feeling I know I'm going to love this song.

9) hope for the underrated youth by YUNGBLUD

I finally bit the bullet and listened to YUNGBLUD. I was not disappointed. I had read the lyrics to Polygraph Girl (another bop, but it also will make you cry from the honest truth it reveals- I guess this counts as a bonus song?) and got emotional (because it happens to easily in this world to poor girls and that breaks my heart). I love the atmosphere of his songs and his voice and lyrics are unlike anything I've ever listened to before. I now stan two kings from Doncaster.

10) California by YUNGBLUD

Part of my love for this song is that I'm from California (and proud). The other half is the unique poetry of the lyrics and the crazy alternative rock sound. I really really like YUNGBLUD now, like really really. I already respected him as a person but now I love his music too.

11) Someone You Loved by Lewis Capaldi

This guy is frickin' hilarious. I was introduced to him through Niall, and turns out he's a pretty banging singer too. His voice is perfection and the lyrics are good too. This song SLAPS.

12) Wonderwall by Oasis

This song gets me some type of way. Oasis is long gone but I will still listen to this song religiously whenever I feel angsty (aka all the time). This song is a masterpiece. Maybe I should listen to the Gallagher brothers...

And there you have it folks, the songs of my October. Sorry this was late and that's it's also shorter than usual. Happy late Halloween or whatever. See you hopefully before the end of the month for that writing update. I have many things to talk about...

No mourners, no funerals,
